We recommend that you proceed as quickly as possible. In order to find the family that best matches your needs, we suggest that you contact us while you are doing your school registration.
To get started, return the application form . We will open a file for you, and start to search for a family that best matches your wishes. Then, we will send you an email with some informations about the host family that we have found ( location, price, description of the host family etc.. ). Short stay: you will have to pay a deposit. Long stay: you will have to pay the registration fees. After your payment, we will send you all the remaining informations about the host family( name, email, telephone number etc.. ). On your arrival, you will pay the host family directly.

In case of any misunderstanding, we will find a new family for you as soon as possible . Of course we will not charge you for this service. Please note that sometimes all the host families are already booked and you will have to wait a while before we find a new family for you.

If there is a problem, please tell us immediately. Don’t be afraid ! Please note that if you don’t follow the requirements of your host family, they can also ask us to find a new family for you !

As soon as your file is complete and upon our last payment, you’ll receive all the information about your family, the neighborhood, public transportation etc…
No, Please note that if you cancel/amend your reservation for any reason (medical problem, visa issues, refusal of visa, date change ,other reasons etc…) the booking deposit or registration fee is not refundable. For example, if you leave the host family earlier than expected, the booking deposit or registration fee is not refundable.

All our host families live close to the schools. But , you must remember that the Japanese cities like Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Osaka and Nagoya Nagoya are bigger than many European or American cities. Therefore, the travel time to reach your school can sometimes be half-an-hour.

You can arrive at your host family home between 18H and 21H

There is no maximum age permitted. But there is a minimum age permitted, which is 18 years.

If you are less than 18 years old, you will need to send us a letter signed by your parents.

Of course ! You’ll be absolutely free to come and go as you please and it’s important for your family that you feel at home. If you arrive home late (or very early !) please try to be as quiet as possible ! Be very careful ! Don’t lose your keys or you’ll have to pay for a new lock (and it can be very expensive…)
Of course if they are still “available”. We recommend that you ask as quick as possible your host family .If not, we’ll find a new family that again matches your wishes. In both cases, if you stay longer than expected you have to pay one more time the registration fees ( or a new deposit in case of a short stay ). Because, you have to understand that other people may want to stay in that family.
LONG STAY: It is possible but you must inform your family and us at least one month before you leave, if you don’t inform us and the host family one month before you leave, you will have to pay as compensation one month of rent to the host family.
You can stipulate it at the time of the inscription in the application form. Usually, there is an access to Internet in the host family’s house. You have to bring your own PC or sometimes you can use the family’s computer.
The maximum length is 6 months. If you want to stay more , it is possible, but you have to pay one more time the registration fees at the end of the sixth month. Each time, you extend the length of your stay you have to pay the registration fee ( or deposit in case of a short stay )
